Throughout the week, a rumor has been circulating around NASCAR regarding the future of music superstar Pitbull’s involvement in Trackhouse Racing.

Since their arrival in the Cup Series, Trackhouse has taken the motorsports world by storm, with Pitbull, along with former racer turned team owner Justin Marks , leading the way. They’ve provided an opportunity to wheelmen like Daniel Suarez , Ross Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen , and have been wildly successful.

The future is bright for Trackhouse, so the idea that Pitbull would be leaving the team was a surprising piece of news. Well, Marks addressed exactly that on social media on Wednesday morning, vehemently denying any truth to Pitbull’s departure.

“Every single element to the stories of my friend and partner @pitbull leaving Trackhouse are materially untrue. Unreliable ‘media’ perpetuating a lie,” Marks said, regarding the rumors . “We have big plans for 2025 and beyond!”

You can’t get more emphatic than that. It seems as if Pitbull is in it for the long haul, and that’s tremendous news for Trackhouse and NASCAR as a whole, as he’s been a wonderful addition to the sport since arriving.

Moreover, Trackhouse as a whole is primed to enter a new era after this season. While Suarez and Chastain are fighting for playoff spots, with the former already locked in due to a win in Atlanta, van Gisbergen will likely join them as a full-time competitor in the Cup Series in 2025.

Nothing has been officially announced, but SVG has been tearing it up in the Xfintiy Series, and showing why he’s one of the best wheelmen in the world during some starts in the Cup Series, as well. Of course, the New Zealander’s best tracks have been road courses, but he’s improving on the ovals, as well.

Additionally, there’s a history of success for Trackhouse, even though they’re one of the younger teams in the Cup Series. Chastain almost won the Cup Series title in 2022, finishing as the runner-up to Joey Logano. They’ve shattered expectations, and broken the mold for what a fledgling team could be.

With Marks’ leadership and Pitbull’s addition to the team, along with the talent they’ve accumulated since joining the Cup Series, Trackhouse has seemingly passed Richard Childress Racing to become Chevrolet’s No. 2 team, behind Hendrick Motorsports. That’s a whole different monster.

Moving forward, Trackhouse Racing figures to continue racing for wins, and making a name for themselves, on and off the track. Pitbull and Justin Marks have been pretty good at this NASCAR thing so far, and they’re not going anywhere, it seems.
