Taken has become one of Liam Neeson's most famous roles and started his late-career resurgence as one of Hollywood's most in-demand action stars. Released in 2008, Taken became a huge success and led to two sequels.

Neeson plays Brian Mills, a former CIA operative who must use his unique skills and experience to rescue his daughter after she was kidnapped during a trip to Paris. Taken is just one of the titles that is set to land on Max next month.

The streaming service will also add Beatlejuice before its sequel is released in theaters. Other new additions to the streaming service include Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Horizon, and Watchers.

Before Taken, Neeson had a slew of roles in hugely successful films . As well as his Oscar-nominated performance in Schindler's List, he also starred in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and hit films such as Love, Actually, Michael Collins, and Gangs of New York.

Since the success of Taken, Neeson has become largely known as an action star. Some of his most beloved action thrillers since Taken include The Commuter, Non-Stop, and The Grey, among many others.

Most recently, the Northern Irish actor starred in flicks like In The Land of Saints and Sinner, Retribution, and Memory. Meanwhile, Liam Neeson is set to star in The Naked Gun reboot alongside Pamela Anderson.

Critics have had mixed reactions to Taken and its sequels. One reviewer from The Dispatch said: "The cinematic equivalent of that guy in high school who was capable of making good grades but always coasted through with Cs."

However, others had more positive things to say. One person wrote: "In Taken viewers are introduced to a new side of Irish actor Liam Neeson, one that is relentless and likes to hit criminals in the throat -- a lot."
