Simone Biles is shutting down critics of her hair at the 2024 Paris Olympics .

On Tuesday (July 30), Biles took to her Instagram Story to address negative comments about her hair, per PEOPLE .

The now eight-time Olympic gold medalist shared a video of herself using a handheld fan to cool off during a 45-minute bus ride with no air conditioning amid the Paris heatwave.

"Don't come for me about my hair," Biles, who was sporting a ponytail, captioned the video. "IT WAS DONE but bus has NO AC & it's like 9,000 degrees."

She later posted a photo reminding people that it's not okay to comment on someone's hair.

"Gonna hold your hand when I say this," Biles wrote on Instagram. "Next time you want to comment on a Black girl's hair, JUST DON'T."

This isn't the first time social media users have commented on Biles' hair. In an interview with Elle earlier this month, the gymnastic star opened up about her hair journey.

"I used to worry about [my hair being considered] not professional," Biles previously said. "But I’m not embarrassed about it anymore."

"Most of the backlash we get is from our own community, which is unfortunate," she added. "I don’t really care if my edges aren’t smooth."

The latest comments about Biles' hair came as she and Team USA earned gold in the team final for women's gymnastics at the Paris Olympics.
