When Reese Witherspoon ‘s 24-year-old daughter Ava Phillippe goes anywhere, or posts anything, there’s one prevailing thing her fans love to point out: how she looks just like her mom. And it’s true too, out of all the mini-me daughter and mom duos in Hollywood, we’d go out on a limb and say that Ava and Witherspoon might be the most similar. That is, of course, until today.

On Instagram , Ava debuted her new hairstyle that went from blonde to her new chocolate brown locks. “time to see how the other half lives 💃🏻 #brunette ,” she wrote in the caption.
In the comments, some familiar faces are celebrating her dramatic hair transformation. “Welcome to the dark side 🔥,” wrote celebrity stylist Karla Welch. “We have fun too 😎,” wrote Pretty Little Liars star Sasha Pieterse. Tommy Dorfman also commented with a series of compliments including “iconic,” “legendary” and “powerful.”
Unsurprisingly, comparisons to her mom kept coming. “Your mom’s clone lol,” wrote one commenter. “You look like your mom so much!” another echoed.
Ava, who graduated from US Berkeley in 2022, has been venturing into modeling and acting ever since.
Back in March, her dad Ryan Phillipe shared an update on her career aspirations . “She’s sort of getting her feet wet,” the Cruel Intentions star said of her daughter’s acting experience. “She’s taking time to kind of figure out exactly what it is she wants to do.”
In the interview with ExtraTV , the actor also shared his thoughts on the controversial “nepo-baby” debate . “That’s what annoys me about this whole nepotism talk with the industry,” he said. “You know, so many people grow up and end up doing what their parents do, to some degree or another. I come from a really blue-collar family and so many of my family members, my cousins whose dad was an electrician, guess what they became — you know?”
“To me, I always get offended for the children of actors and entertainers when people bring that up because yeah, of course — that’s what they’ve grown up around,” he continued. “These kids have grown up watching on set with Reese or with me — it seems natural [that they would be interested in entertainment careers], I think.”
Looks like Ava’s got her parents’ support for just about everything, from her career ambitions to her hair transformations!
