Bill Belichick's Next Career Venture Revealed

Six-time Super Bowl champion Bill Belichick is joining Underdog Fantasy to create and co-produce a new football show that will debut during the 2024 NFL season, ESPN 's Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday (July 31).

"From coaching legend to media mogul: Bill Belichick now is joining @UnderdogFantasy to create and co-produce a new football show, debuting this season. The show will feature Belichick breaking down film, taking fans through the process as if he were coaching the team," Schefter wrote on his X account.

Underdog Fantasy shared a video minutes later with Belichick explaining his decision to join the company and previewing the new project.

"I'm really looking forward to the opportunity to work with Underdog and their producers and they've given me the opportunity to give the fans what they want and that's my goal," Belichick said.

Belichick's Underdog Fantasy announcement comes weeks after he was pegged to join Inside the NFL as an analyst for the 2024 NFL season , working alongside former NFL players Ryan Clark , Chad Johnson and Chris Long , all of whom played on the New England Patriots under the legendary head coach for at least one season, having made several media appearances since his firing in January.

“I’m thrilled to join my new team at NFL Films and to work on such a historic television franchise,” Belichick said in a statement obtained by the Associated Press at the time. “I’ve always appreciated ‘Inside the NFL’s’ depth of analysis, and I hope to bring the same detailed insight to The CW by talking real football with real pros — Ryan, Chris and Chad — this coming season.”

Belichick is the third-winningest coach in NFL history and one of seven NFL head coaches to have spent more than 20 years with one franchise following George Halas (40) of the Chicago Bears, Curly Lambeau (29) of the Green Bay Packers, Tom Landry (29) of the Dallas Cowboys, Don Shula (26) of the Miami Dolphins, Steven Owen (24) of the New York Giants and Chuck Noll of the Pittsburgh Steelers, all of whom have been enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
