Top Korean Actors of July 2024

The list of top Korean actors of July 2024 is out. According to the Korean Business Research Institute, the brand reputation rankings of this month include the leading ladies of Miss Night and Day. Jeong Eun-Ji and Lee Jung-Eun have bagged the first two places.

GP Korea reports that big data analysis has revealed 50 K-drama artists’ brand reputation rankings. These actors have appeared in shows between June 9, 2024, and July 9, 2024. While the Miss Night and Day actresses top the chart, My Sweet Mobster star Um Tae-Goo ranks third. Song Seung-Heon from The Player 2: Master of Swindlers and Jung Ryeo-Won from The Midnight Romance in Hagwon take the fourth and fifth positions.

Jeong Eun-Ji

Jeong Eun-Ji is an actress, vocal artist, and member of the girl group Apink. She is currently getting attention for her role in the Netflix and JTBC K-drama Miss Night and Day. Eun-Ji plays Lee Mi-Jin, a young woman in her twenties. She has spent many years working as a part-timer and looking for a permanent job. One day, she mysteriously transforms into a 50-year-old and seeks it as an opportunity. However, things get complicated in her work and personal life due to her transformation.

Eun-Ji has previously appeared in Blind, Work Later Drink Now (Seasons 1 and 2), Untouchable, Sassy Go Go, and Reply 1997.

Lee Jung-Eun

Lee Jung-Eun is a veteran actress who has recently impressed fans with her role in Miss Night and Day. She plays Lee Mi-Jin’s 50-year-old version, Lim Sun. From comedy timing to emotional scenes, she has treated fans with her versatile acting.

Um Tae-Goo

Um Tae-Goo has become a viral sensation after his appearance in JTBC K-drama, My Sweet Mobster . He plays a former convict, Seo Ji-Hwan, who builds up a company after coming out of prison. He helps other convicts choose the right path but maintains his cold personality. However, things change when his childhood friend Go Eun-Ha reappears in his life.

Some of Tae-Goo’s previous works include Dr. Brain, Hometown, Save Me season 2, and Maids. He has also appeared in films such as Concrete Utopia, The Witch Part 2, and Night in Paradise.

Song Seung-Heon

Song Seung-Heon returns as the lead in the second season of the tvN K-drama, The Player 2: Master of Swindlers . He plays Kang Ha-Ri, the leader of his swindlers’ group. The ending of the second installment hints at season 3.

Meanwhile, Seung-Heon has previously worked in dramas like Black Night, Voice season 4, Dinner Mate, The Great Show, When a Man’s in Love, and My Princess.

Jung Ryeo-Won

Jung Ryeo-Won plays the female lead in the 2024 romance K-drama, The Midnight Romance in Hagwon. It tells the story of Seo Hye-Jin, whose world turns upside down when her student returns to her life.

The actress has previously appeared in many K-dramas, including Diary of a Prosecutor, Wok of Love, Witch’s Court, The King of Dramas, and Autumn Shower. She has also done Korean movies like Gate, The Woman in the White Car, Neverending Story, and Pain.
