Another deal gets done while the Cowboys remain nowhere with CeeDee Lamb

The NFL has become a pass-happy league, which means two positions are important to keep around: quarterbacks and wide receivers. The Dallas Cowboys have already pinned into a tight corner, but things get worse when a deal gets done for another top player at those positions.

On Tuesday, it was a wide receiver's turn to get paid.

DJ Moore of the Chicago Bears received a contract extension worth $110 million over four years. Meanwhile, the Cowboys are sitting on their hands as an extension for CeeDee Lamb continues to not be done.

Moore joins a growing list of wide receivers to be paid this offseason, including Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings. He received a deal that made him the highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history, so there is only so much face that can have egg on it if you are the Cowboys.

Jerry Jones has hinted at the idea of “you can’t pay everyone,” but at this point, he hasn’t paid anyone. Micah Parsons, Dak Prescott, and CeeDee Lamb all need deals, and so far, there has been nothing.

Three cornerstones, franchise-building players, no support.
