The Grateful Dead’s 1978 Spring Tour is being commemorated with a variety of releases. Friend Of The Devils: April 1978, a 19-CD box set will be available exclusively from Dead.net on September 20, 2024. The collection is limited to 10,000 individually numbered copies and contains eight previously unreleased concerts. In addition, an April 12, 1978, concert at Duke University, also coming on Sept. 20 from Rhino, is available for pre-order on 3-CDs or 4-LPs in the U.S. here and in the U.K. here. New Grateful Dead Box Set Highlights 1978 Spring Tour Where They ‘Deliver Every Single Moment’

Two of rock's most iconic and influential bands, JOURNEY and DEF LEPPARD, have announced next summer’s hottest co-headlining stadium tour. The bands will join forces to conquer stadium stages across North America in 2024. This legendary collaboration promises a musical journey like no other, igniting the hearts and souls of fans and delivering a night of unforgettable rock anthems. The 23-city tour kicks off on July 6 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, MO, while making stops at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, TN; SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, CA; Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL; JOURNEY’s hometown of San Francisco, CA at Oracle Park and more before wrapping up in Denver, CO at Coors Field on September 8. On Thursday night, Billy Joel brought out a special musical guest at the final show of his Madison Square Garden residency in New York City: Axl Rose. The Guns N' Roses singer appeared a little later in Joel's 25-song set, performing covers of Wings' "Live and Let Die" and AC/DC's "Highway to Hell."

Billy Joel brought out special guest Axl Rose for onstage at the final show of his Maidson Square Garden residency in New York City. Once onstage, the duo began to perform covers of Wings’ “Live and Let Die” and AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell” as well as Joel’s own classic “You May Be Right”. Joel and Rose’s vocals complimented each other well, especially with the choice of songs they performed. Between the soft-rock stylings of a Wings’ classic to the hard-rock anthem of AC/DC’s “Highway to Hell”, the crowd got the best of both worlds and Joel and Rose delivered their most memorable performance with Joel’s original “You May Be Right”.
