    Pedestrian killed in Springettsbury Township crash: Police investigating

    A pedestrian died in a crash Tuesday evening in Springettsbury Township, municipal police say.

    Officers responded to the crash on East Market Street at Northern Way that involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, a news release states. It occurred around 9:05 p.m.

    The pedestrian, 79, died at WellSpan York Hospital, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

    The name of the man has not been released at this time.

    Second fatal pedestrian crash in a month in Springettsbury Township

    A teenager died earlier this month after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a road in Springettsbury Township.

    The teen was identified as Quinterrion Smith, 17, of Coffeeville, Mississippi.

    The crash occurred Thursday, July 11 in the area of Route 30 and North Hills Road, a news release states.
