Two injured after vehicle hits tree in Spencer County

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – The Spencer County Sheriff’s Office says a teenage driver was extricated from a vehicle and a juvenile was injured following an accident on Silverdale Road on Tuesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, 18-year-old Ayla Romans was driving down Silverdale Road when her vehicle left the roadway struck a tree and went down an embankment. A juvenile passenger was able to exit the vehicle without assistance, but Romans was extricated from the vehicle.

Officials say the passenger was transported to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Romans was taken to a hospital by a helicopter.
