The Olympic triathlon consists of a 1.5-kilometer swim, 40-kilometer bike and 10-kilometer run. But you don’t have to go the distance to watch the women’s race in Paris on Wednesday.

NBC Sports’ “On Her Turf” shared a 76-second highlight video in which competitors dive in the Seine, after worrisome bacterial readings had threatened to move the competition. (The men followed suit later.)

The view of the Eiffel Tower on the City of Light’s famous river is pretty cool, but we doubt the endurance athletes had time to appreciate it when they came up for air.

The clip zips through the transitions for each stage until exhaustion and hugs at the finish.

France’s Cassandre Beaugrand won in 1 hour 54 minutes and 55 seconds to do the host country proud, followed by Julie Derron of Switzerland (1:55:01) and Beth Potter of Great Britain (1:55:10.)

Beaugrand got a shoutout on X from French President Emmanuel Macron, who also took a victory lap for the Seine being safe enough to swim in.

“Thanks to a massive investment ... we have achieved in just 4 years what was impossible for 100 years: the Seine is now swimmable,” he said, per The Associated Press .

Taylor Spivey, the first American finisher, in 10th place with a time of 1:57:11, gets several looks in the clip.
