    Butler County ERS deployed to New Mexico

    DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A local organization has deployed to New Mexico for “ongoing flooding.”

    Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones reports the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Services has deployed to Ruidoso, Lincoln County, New Mexico.

    Deploying members are a part of Type 3 Swiftwater/Flood Search and Rescue Team.

    Nexstar station KRQE in Albuquerque reports the area was under a flash flood emergency. They also report evacuations were being ordered.

    Members are expected to arrive by Thursday evening, and could remain at the location until Aug. 18.
