Summertime is pretty much synonymous with sweet, cold drinks—so hopes were high when Dunkin ' announced the addition of four new iced coffee flavors to their "Chef Nick" menu on Wednesday, July 31. But while some fans can't wait to try the beverages, others are complaining that they aren't all that different from what was already for sale.

As explained in an Instagram post by Snackolator, the "'new' menu takes existing @dunkin flavors and remixes them into four drinks crafted by Chef Nick DiGiovanni ." Available for a limited time only through the Dunkin app are the Blueberry Donut Iced Coffee with Sweet Cold Foam, the Caramel Coconut Cream Iced Coffee, the Mocha Vanilla Iced Coffee, and the Caramel Almondmilk Iced Coffee.

If some of these sound familiar to you, you're not alone. The drinks are "nothing you couldn't already get if you customized a drink," as Snackolator pointed out.

Many commenters were similarly let down.

"This lineup is so uninspiring… they should have just given us the fall menu items early. That would have made me go to Dunkin," wrote one person.

"Waiting for 🎃," another Dunkin fan agreed.

In the comments on Dunkin's Instagram post promoting the new releases, people opted to ask the chain to bring back some of their favorite drinks from years prior that they'd rather order instead.

"Yeah how about bringing regular Hazelnut flavor back. Can we talk about that please?!" begged one commenter.

"Day 267 of commenting on every Dunkin post till they bring back the cookie dough swirl," wrote a second disgruntled coffee lover, as another implored, "Great work team, but how about we get to work on those $2 iced coffees."

There were a handful of happy customers that seemed pleased with the new remixed offerings, with one noting, "wooo so happy! 😊," "Carmel coconut cream sounds 🔥," and "The blueberry donut iced coffee drink is just … chefs kiss."

Earlier this summer, Dunkin customers reacted with considerably more excitement to the introduction of a S'mores Cold Brew and S'mores Donut.

Nick DiGiovanni , a professional chef and food influencer, first made headlines on Season 10 of MasterChef , when he came in 3rd place as the youngest finalist in show history.
