    Simone Biles’ Endorsement Deals: Athleta, Nike and More Brands Who’ve Employed the Olympic Gymnast as a Spokesmodel

    Simone Biles may have eight Olympic medals , but it’s her endorsement deals with high-profile brands like Nike and Athleta that have helped her amass a bulk of her money. In 2023, Forbes listed Biles as one of its highest-paid female athletes, estimating her annual earnings at just more than $7 million.

    Ahead, a primer on the record-breaking gymnast’s major brand partnerships.

    GK Elite

    In 2015, Biles became one of GK Elite’s official endorsed athletes. The gymnastics apparel brand has designed the USA gymnastics team’s leotards at several Olympics, including at this year’s Paris Games.

    “I am so excited to become a part of the GK family,” Biles said in a statement at the time. “I’ve always loved training and competing in GK leotards.  It’s amazing to be able to represent a brand that I’ve worn throughout my gymnastics career.”

    Biles extended her partnership with GK in 2021, putting her name on a line of leotards spanning their Replica, Signature and Legacy ranges.

    Nike

    Ahead of her first appearance at the Olympics, she teamed with Nike in 2015 and represented the brand during the Rio Games. She went on to appear in both video and print advertisements, including their iconic Just Do It campaign.

    Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Biles discussed ending her sponsorship deal with the sportswear retailer in 2021, explaining that she felt her values aligned more closely with Gap Inc.’s Athleta.

    “I felt like it wasn’t just about my achievements, it’s what I stood for and how [Nike wasn’t] going to help me use my voice and also be a voice for females and kids,” she explained. “I feel like [Athleta supports] me not just as an athlete, but just as an individual outside of the gym and the change that I want to create.”

    Uber Eats

    In 2020, Biles appeared in an Uber Eats commercial alongside “Queer Eye” star Jonathan Van Ness. The hairdresser first took up gymnastics a few years ago, sharing his training on social media. The “Tonight I’ll Be Eating” spot sees Biles and Van Ness share their Uber Eats orders while practicing on the mat. “Is that my leotard?” Biles asks the reality star.

    Athleta

    Athleta became Biles’ exclusive apparel partner in 2021. The company teamed up with Biles to debut her own line of activewear, as well as a clothing line for Athleta’s teen sub brand, Athleta Girl.

I admire Athleta for their commitment to recognize and support women’s individual and collective strength and, together, I believe we can help girls to confidently and passionately take on the world in their athletic endeavors and beyond.”

    Today, Biles still works closely with the activewear company. Since 2023, she’s fronted their Power of She campaign, which “celebrates and empowers game-changing women” including Katie Ledecky, Monica Puig and Mariah Bell.

    Visa

    Biles has worked with Visa since 2021, when she was listed as part of the Team Visa roster at the Tokyo Olympics. That year, the gymnast appeared in an ad spot for the brand, returning to rep the credit card company as part of Team Visa for the 2024 Paris Games. Her most recent campaign, which debuted in May, costars her sister Adria.

    K18

    Biles added K18 hair products to her representative repertoire in 2024, becoming a brand ambassador in a two-year partnership deal.

    The Olympic medalist succeeded previous K18 ambassadors Sofia Richie and Alix Earle. Biles counts the brand’s biotech-powered Leave-in Molecular Repair Mask, and its oil within the same franchise, among her favorite offerings. In her new role, she fronts campaigns for both television and digital platforms.

    “A lot of people think gymnasts don’t do much with beauty — that we don’t wear makeup or change up our hair — but that’s not the case,” Biles told WWD in June. “When I feel beautiful and true and authentic to myself, I perform better.”
