How Love Island USA’s Kordell Beckham Realized Serena Page Was the Woman for Him

Love Island USA Season 6 might be gone, but it will never be forgotten. The show started with a bang by hiring Ariana Madix as its new host. However, that was only the beginning of the excitement. Reality TV fans everywhere fell in love with a group of Islanders as they navigated love, dating, and drama while stuck in a villa in Fiji.

Ultimately, Kordell Beckham and Serena Page ended up winning Season 6 of Love Island . The two OGs were paired up from the start, but their road to romance was anything but easy. Regardless, they became the fan-favorite couple who seemed like they had a huge chance of succeeding in a long-lasting relationship. Ahead of the Season 6 reunion, Kordell spoke a bit about what it was about Serena that made him fall for her.

Kordell is in love

Kordell appeared on SiriusXM’s Smith Sisters Live podcast to talk about winning it all with Serena. As expected, he got pretty candid about his relationship and feelings. “It is just like the fact that I’ve been able to connect with someone in this amount of time is just what’s crazy to me,” Kordell explained. “I’m not the type to really like someone that fast or see something that can go somewhere else that fast.”

It was Serena’s commitment to moving at her own pace that was part of the reason Kordell fell for her. “I really feel how, you know, things have been going for us in the villa and it can go in the outside world,” Kordell continued. He said that throughout the ups and downs of the villa, he focused on maintaining a good relationship with Serena because he could see a future with her. “Even like every recoupling or people was going home, I always would tell her like, you know, ‘Regardless of what happens, if we go home, I’m gonna be happy because we gonna go home together and we gonna work this out,'” Kordell said. Now that’s real love, folks.

The Love Island USA reunion airs on August 19 on Peacock.
