Illinois player wins $1 million Mega Millions prize playing online

The Illinois Lottery announced Wednesday an unidentified Illinois player has won $1 million playing Mega Millions online.

The winning Illinois iLottery player matched five numbers, but not the Mega Ball, in the Tuesday night drawing to score the $1 million prize. The winning numbers were 19-23-30-33-50 . The Illinois Lottery did not identify the winner.

More than 24,000 winning Mega Millions tickets were sold in Illinois for Tuesday’s drawing. No one matched all six numbers to win the jackpot, but the Illinois player and a ticket sold in Texas matched five numbers for $1 million. The next Mega Millions drawing is 10 p.m. Friday. The jackpot is at an estimated $358 million.

Winners have one year from the date of the winning draw to claim their prizes. The Illinois Lottery encourages all winners to write their names on the backs of their tickets and keep them in a safe place until they claim their prizes.

Mega Millions tickets are $2 each, and players can add the Megaplier for an additional $1 for the chance to multiply non-jackpot prizes.
