AEW Star Claims She Took The Photo Of Tony Khan Meeting With Shane McMahon

After podcaster Conrad Thompson broke the news that Shane McMahon had shown interest in joining AEW, fans began fantasy booking his debut on social media. Still, the speculation would gradually die down once Tony Khan revealed he’d never met McMahon. However, on Wednesday morning, both WWE and AEW supporters went into a tizzy when Fightful Select reported that the pair had met earlier.

Subsequently, WrestleTalk would share a photograph to verify this. And now, in what appears to be a joke, although it possibly isn’t, former WWE star Sasha Banks, known as Mercedes Moné in AEW, has taken credit for snapping the shot.

Moné is already part of the story regarding McMahon potentially joining AEW, as last month she confirmed shortly after the story broke online that she had actually spoken with him at Laguardia Airport following Forbidden Door. At the time, Moné would play it off as a simple coincidence, although perhaps there was more to the story than she let on at the time.
