For dogs, cheese is life, and there's an unofficial rule that everyone in the kitchen must pay them a "cheese tax." For a Mastiff named Bowser, teaching his little brother Benny about this tasty tax is the best lesson to be learned.

In a July 31 TikTok video shared by @bowserthemastiff , big brother Mastiff shows little brother Benny exactly how to score the cheese tax in the best way possible. Even Grandma gets it! Watch and learn!

In the 3-minute video that begins, "When Bowser shows Benny how you make 4'10" grandma pay the cheese tax," Bowser's an old pro sitting in his best posture as Grandma pulls out the cheese package and offers to pay the cheese tax. Little Benny sits in the background and watches, unsure of what's going on.

With a little prompting from Mom and Grandma, Benny joins Bowser as Grandma gives piece after piece of cheese. As long as the two sit like good boys, they get more cheese—until the package is empty.

The brothers are so patient, they deserve all the cheese. Many of the boys' 1.1 million followers already know about the popular "cheese tax" song and give Grandma props for abiding by the cheese tax law!

"Bowser: You don't have to call him over Grandma. I can just have it all," one person joked. "Grandmas are always breaking the rules!!! Love grandmas," another joked. "My parents dogs know the cheese tax (9 + 13 year old Bostons) and it's the only reason they leave the couch. my dog (2-year-old Beagle mix) only believes in the ice tax," another added.

How Much Cheese Can a Dog Have?

There's no doubt about it—dogs love cheese. Luckily, the American Kennel Club says it's totally fine to give them cheese and may even be a great training tool—but given in moderation.

Cheese has a lot protein, calcium, vitamin A, essential fatty acids, and B-complex vitamins, but if your dog is lactose intolerant, it's a bad idea to offer them any, even in small amounts. Because cheese is high in fat, it's best to offer low fat cheeses like mozzarella, cottage cheese (which is lower in lactose, too!), or soft goat cheese, so not to contribute to weight gain or pancreatitis, which can be fatal.

All in all, cheese is a good "sometimes" treat, especially when they're as cute as Bowser and Benny. How could anyone say no to paying their cheese tax?
