Bryan Danielson earned a world title shot by winning the Owen Hart Foundation Men’s Tournament. He will challenge Swerve Strickland for the gold at AEW All In. Heading into the show, Danielson had made it clear that 2024 would be his last year as a full-time wrestler. Danielson recently revealed that his wrestling contract expired on August 1.

Bryan Danielson came to the ring on the July 31 episode of AEW Dynamite and reflected on his time with AEW. He promised to go all in at AEW All In. Strickland interrupted and told Danielson that he would not be leaving the show with the title. Danielson responded by promising that he would never wrestle again if he lost at AEW All In. He proposed putting his career on the line, and Strickland agreed to it.
