This Tiny Shih Tzu Who Lost His Owner Is Now Looking For New Family

    2024-08-01

(MA) Meet Yoda, a tiny 9-pound senior Shih Tzu who is ready to steal your heart. This little pup is an older boy who has lived his life loved by a caring owner. Sadly, his owner recently passed away, and their family was not able to take care of Yoda. Luckily, Great Dog Rescue New England was able to take him in and place him safely with a foster. He still has a lot of life left in him, and he hopes to spend the majority of it snoozing in YOUR bed.

    More Information On Yoda

Yoda is a 12-year-old senior Shih Tzu mix pup who weighs, as of 7/29/24, approximately between 9 pounds. He has a short coat length, which is black, white, and cream in color. Yoda is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

According to Great Dog Rescue New England, Yoda is a loving and loyal pup who lives every day to the fullest. He is a very gentle and happy pup who loves to follow his humans around the house. He also does well with other pups. Health-wise, Yoda is partially blind and has some hearing loss, but he doesn't let it stop him! GDRNE's one requirement for anyone who may want to adopt Yoda is that they must spoil him for the rest of his years.

"Are you ready to bring balance to your galaxy? Look no further than Yoda, the wise and wonderful canine Jedi who’s ready to find his forever home. With his soulful eyes and adorable ears, Yoda is here to teach you the ways of love and loyalty." - Great Dog Rescue New England / Petfinder

    How Can You Help Yoda?

If you are interested in adopting Yoda, please fill out the adoption application form, which can be found here. He is available for adoption to anyone 24 or older and living in New England, NY, NJ, or PA.

Another huge thing you can do to help is consider fostering! There are never enough fosters to meet the demands of all the pups in need. More information on fostering with Great Dog Rescue New England can be found in the fostering section of their official website.

If you cannot adopt or foster, an easy way to help is to share this article or Yoda's Petfinder profile:www.petfinder.com/dog/yoda-senior-cutie
