Olympic track and field events today: What events are happening at 2024 Paris Games

There are myriad track and field events at the 2024 Paris Olympics , with action in each taking place across several days.

The Games, which are held through Sunday, Aug. 11, will host 48 medal events in track and field, across all running, jumping and throwing events, as well as the heptathlon and decathlon. A few lesser known of the events will award medals, as well.

Indeed, Thursday marks medal events in more distinct events, when the men's and women's 20-kilometer race walks will crown two gold medalists.
