Cameron Brink’s Team USA Replacement Issues Stern Message After 0-2 Olympic Start

The Team USA 3x3 crew has not gotten off to a strong start at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Both the men's and women's teams have dropped to 0-2 to begin their medal quest, which is even more surprising for the women's since they entered as one of the favorites.

After they lost the opener to Germany, Hailey Van Lith spoke about dealing with a cold. But on Wednesday against Azerbaijan, Team USA fell 20-17 to drop to 0-2.

After the game, Dearica Hamby, who replaced Cameron Brink on the squad , had an honest advice for the team (h/t ESPN).

"We have to have short-term memory and move on to the next one," Hamby shared.

Hamby played well in this game, however. She had seven points and five rebounds to lead Team USA, albeit in a losing effort.

Las Vegas Aces player Tiffany Hayes had the go-ahead layup for Azerbaijan with the clock winding down, and it proved to be too much for Team USA to overcome.

Hamby and Team USA are trying to avoid a 0-3 start, and they face off next against Australia on Thursday.
