Stacey Abrams starting new podcast called "Assembly Required with Stacey Abrams"

A beloved Georgia political figure has a new podcast coming in two weeks.

Stacey Abrams announced on her social media platforms on Tuesday that she is working on a new weekly podcast, "Assembly Required with Stacey Abrams." The first episode will air on Aug. 15.

Each week, Abrams will break down society's biggest issues into digestible, actionable items, introduce the audience to people working towards solutions, strategize, and share tangible ways to get involved.

"I've lived my life with three objectives: Be curious, solve problems, and do good. That's why I'm doing this podcast," Abrams said on X (formerly known as Twitter) . "I know that one piece isn't going to solve the whole puzzle, but we have to put the different parts together."

Abrams has worn many hats in her career, with some of the highlights being a member of the Georgia House of Representatives from 2007 to 2017, founder of the New Georgia Project and Fair Fight Action , and a contender in Georgia's 2018 and 2022 gubernatorial races.

Her new podcast is being published by Crooked Media and will be available on many platforms such as Apple Podcasts , Spotify , and Pocket Casts .
