‘Wow, gorgeous’ people yell as a woman transforms council kitchen ‘on a tight budget’ with paint & self-adhesive film

A CASH-SAVVY woman has been praised after sharing her budget-friendly council house kitchen glow-up.

Mandy Williams, from Wrexham, took to Facebook where she proved you don't need to fork out a fortune to revamp the property - stunning results can be achieved with a tight budget too.

Before the jaw-dropping makeover, Mandy's council kitchen looked pretty basic, featuring blue walls, standards wooden cupboards, white doors and not a lot of character.

But although Mandy didn't necessarily mind this, she revealed that her adorable puppy had munched on the cupboards, chewing all the corners off.

The DIY fanatic, who posted the epic transformation on DIY On A Budget Official, first got rid of the ''Denim Drift'' walls and went over with a more neutral cotton shade instead.

Once done, it was time to move onto the rest of the outdated kitchen, which included replacing the square tiles splashback with a more modern set.

Meanwhile, rather than swapping the old shelves and drawers with a store-bought version, the crafts fanatic gave them a new life with a DC-FIX vinyl.

To achieve the ultimate calm aesthetic in her kitchen, Maddy ended up opting for a sparkling white vinyl sheet which she applied onto the old drawers.

The glossy finished complimented the baby pink kitchen essentials, including the light pink toaster and microwave, perfectly.

The gorgeous glow-up, which has taken the platform by storm, was completed with applying the same film - but with a wooden effect - onto the old flooring.

All chuffed with the jaw-dropping results, Maddy wrote in her post: ''This is my council kitchen before and after, all done with dc-fix and on a tight budget.

''The tiles are covered with dc-fix too, it’s like a wallpaper but much thicker so you can’t see tiles underneath.''
