Microsoft Confirms Azure Data Explorer’s Virtual Network Injection to End by 2025

The EU’s European Commission announced on Thursday its unconditional approval of Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s (HPE) $14 billion acquisition of networking equipment manufacturer Juniper Networks. According to Reuters, the commission’s investigation concluded that the merger would not significantly impact competition within the markets for wireless local area network equipment and access points, Ethernet campus switches and data center switches.

Tuesday’s Microsoft outage has been traced to a DDoS attack that temporarily took down the company’s Azure cloud service. The attack sent a flood of internet traffic that disrupted global access to Microsoft’s 365 and Azure services for about eight hours. During the outage, the company hinted that a DDoS attack might have been involved with Microsoft's status reports noting an “unexpected usage spike.”
