Prince Harry's calls to father King Charles go 'unanswered' with King missing key event

Prince Harry's calls to his father King Charles are going unanswered, it has been revealed by a friend. The friend of the prince told People Magazine that he hadn't seen his father since shortly after his cancer diagnosis.

This comes after King Charles was notably absent from the tenth-anniversary celebrations of Prince Harry's Invictus Games . This was attributed to the King's busy schedule at the time.

"His calls go unanswered," the source said. "He has tried to reach out about the King’s health , but those calls go unanswered too."

Sources also say that a rift has formed due to Prince Harry's fight for more security for him and his family. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially stepped back from their roles within the Royal Family in 2020.

This was due to media intrusion that was putting a strain on the couple. The couple documented their struggles with the media and fears for their safety in their Netflix docuseries which was released in 2022.

The friend of Harry continued: "He gets 'unavailable right now. His calls go unanswered. He has tried to reach out about the King's health, but those calls go unanswered too."

Another person close to the royals told People: "Harry is frightened and feels the only person who can do anything about it is his father."

Prince Harry recently expressed his fears for his wife's safety if she was to return to the UK. In the documentary Tabloids on Trial, the royal said that he was frightened of an acid or knife attack on his wife .

"All it takes is one lone actor, one person who reads this stuff, to act on what they have read," he said. "And whether it’s a knife or acid, whatever it is."

"They are genuine concerns for me," he added. "They are one of the reasons I won’t bring my wife back to this country."
