SIMONE Biles has warned critics of her hairstyle at the Olympics to leave her be.

The US gymnastics phenom inspired her team to gold in the women’s team All-Around competition Tuesday.

It was the fifth Olympic gold for one of the greatest athletes of all time, who is in action again today.

But some viewers complained about her hair during Sunday’s qualifying.

Biles , 27, took to her Instagram Stories to show her hair was styled.

But boiling temperatures and a long bus ride to the arena with no air conditioning took its toll on her look.

“Gonna hold your hand when I say this next time you wanna comment on a black girls hair. JUST DON’T,” she wrote to finish her post.

Biles was the subject of a Netflix documentary ahead of the Games detailing her preparations after a tough Olympics in Tokyo.

It revealed that mom Nellie styles her hair before every competition.

“I just want to do something special,” Nellie shared during the series while doing Simone’s hair.

“Tokyo was the one time I did not braid Simone’s hair.

“She is an adult. This girl can braid her hair, but it’s not about her braiding her hair.”

Criticism of black female gymnasts, in particular, has often crossed a line.

Three-time gold medalist Gabrielle Douglas was criticized over her hairstyle at London in 2012 and Rio in 2016.

“I tried to stay off the internet because there’s just so much negativity,” Douglas told ESPN’s Johnette Howard.

“Either it was about my hair or my hand not over my heart [on the medal podium] or I look depressed.

    'Mother hen' Biles

Simone Biles' first coach Aimee Boorman exclusively told The U.S. Sun that she thinks Biles will be spurred by a new role this year.

“Having younger teammates benefits her because she has stepped in as the mother hen figure,” said Aimee.

“And so she has to tell them to stay calm. You’ve got this. You’re prepared. And so as she’s saying it, she’s also hearing it.

“You always have tiny kids that come into the gym, but they’re never ripped like Simone was,” she said.

“I know she was very self-conscious about it growing up. But from a coaching perspective, it was great.

“I didn’t think that Simone would be a multi gold medal athlete straight away.

“But she did stand out because she was very tiny, but very muscular.”

“It was hurtful. It was hurtful. It was. It’s been kind of a lot to deal with.”

And Biles also opened up in her documentary,

“People are way too comfortable commenting things,” she said, adding that “the beauty standard, everything, is just too much.”

Biles is strong favourite for gold in today’s women’s All-Around final.

The event kicks off at 12:15 pm ET.

Biles’ husband, NFL star Jonathan Owen, will be in the crowd after being excused from training camp.
