MEA President talks need for school supplies in support of Operation Backpack

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) – WLNS-TV is currently working hard to collect school supplies for Operation Backpack. It’s an initiative to help make sure area kids have what they need when classes begin.

6 News anchors Jorma Duran and Megan Viecelli sat down with the president of the Michigan Education Association, Chandra Madafferi, to talk about why helping to supply school supplies is extremely important for a child’s success, that also relieves the burden many teachers take on to help their students.
