Olympic women's gymnastics results: Simone Biles, Suni Lee top podium with gold, bronze medals in all-around final

For the second time, and eight years after she took the world by storm in Rio, Simone Biles is an all-around Olympic gold medalist.

The 27-year-old continues Team USA's tradition of success in the competition, securing the program's sixth straight all-around gold. It's also her sixth Olympic gold medal, the most for a single U.S. gymnast.

Biles was not the only U.S. gymnast to win her second all-around medal, as 2021 champion Suni Lee earned bronze in Paris with the help of an exemplary floor routine. Brazil's Rebeca Andrade repeated as silver medalist in the competition.

While Biles has done it all, she was pushed to her limits in the competition by Andrade. A near-fall on bars put her in third place after two rotations, and Andrade looked like she could grab the gold.

But Biles bounced back with an aggressive beam routine, the best performance of the night in the competition, to retake the lead. She just needed to stay on her feet on floor but blew the event out of the water to secure the title.

For Lee, a medal was more than she could've imagined one year ago. The 2021 gold medalist thought she would never compete again when she was diagnosed with two kidney diseases in 2023. But she made it back to the highest level, qualified for the all-around final and pushed to the very end to finish the night on the podium.

The all-around final came down to the wire but will go down as one of the best competitions in Olympic gymnastics history.

All times Eastern.

2:32 p.m. – And with it, the U.S. earns its sixth consecutive all-around titles in Olympic women's gymnastics. Biles is the first since Vera Caslavska in 1968 to earn two all-around titles and the first to do it non-consecutively. She now has six Olympic gold medals, the most in U.S. gymnastics history.

As for Lee, she overcame two kidney diseases to win back-to-back medals in the competition. Andrade earns her second straight silver in the event.

Here's the final standings.

2:28 p.m. – Too. Easy. Eight years after her first title, Simone Biles earns her second Olympic all-around gold medal with a 15.066 on floor.

2:24 p.m. – Andrade earns a 14.033 on floor. Biles needs better than a 13.867 to secure the gold.

2:19 p.m. – Suni Lee, you are a two-time Olympic all-around medalist! Her first tumbling pass is a cold hard stick, setting up the floor routine of a lifetime for the American. It's a 13.666, enough to pass D'Amato in the standings. With only Andrade and Biles left to go, Lee looks like she'll earn bronze.

2:06 p.m. – D'Amato steps out of bounds on one her of her passes. It results in a 13.500. With five more gymnasts to go, the Italian has a while to wait and see if the score is enough for bronze.

1:53 p.m. – Biles retakes the lead with a 44.065. Andrade is 0.166 behind in second, while D'Amato is narrowly in third. Nemour and Lee are tied for fourth, but it's anyone's bronze medal.

1:44 p.m. – Not the best beam performance from Lee. She didn't fall but had several wobbles and leg lifts, including a missed connection, to give away crucial tenths. It's a 14.000.

1:27 p.m. – Just what she needed. There's just a couple wobbles, but Biles puts up an excellent beam routine. She gets back on track with a 14.566.

1:16 p.m. – The competition is tight after two, but it's only getting started. Andrade leads with a 29.766, followed by Nemour (29.566) and Biles (29.499). D'Amato has a 0.001 lead over Lee for fourth place.

1:14 p.m. – Chef's kiss from Lee on bars. It's a 14.866.

1:08 p.m. – Another show from Nemour on bars. She nearly goes over on a handstand but saves it, solidly connecting everything else. She earns a 15.533, putting her in second place behind Andrade and above Biles.

12:56 p.m. – Biles has a noticeable error, taking an extra swing on the low bar after barely catching the pak. She doesn't touch the floor, though, pushing through the rest of the routine for a stuck landing. It's a 13.733.

12:55 p.m. – It's a 14.666 for Andrade on bars. The Brazilian isn't holding back, putting up another beautifully executed routine.

12:46 p.m. – After one rotation, it's Biles and Andrade in the lead. Canada's Ellie Black sits in third while Lee is in seventh.

12:30 p.m. – Biles goes for the YDP! She takes a big step back but stays on her feet. She gets a massive 15.766.

12:27 p.m. – And we're off! Lee kicks it off on vault, earning a 13.933 after a decent sized hop on her landing. Nevertheless, a good start for the reigning all-around champion. A ndrade follows it up with a 15.100 on her Cheng, needing only the slightest step on her landing to complete one of the best vaults the Brazilian has ever done.

12:18 p.m. – No surprise, the loudest cheer of all introduction goes to Biles. Should she take home the gold tonight, as expected, it'll mark her second all-around title, eight years after her first one. It will also be her sixth Olympic gold.

12:10 p.m. – The leo decision is in. Biles and Lee will be sporting two different designs from Bercy Arena.

11:35 a.m. – Here's how the Americans will compete in the all-around finals.

11:15 a.m. – Rotations are set. The favorites, Biles, Lee and Andrade, will all begin on vault.
