Cardi B files for divorce from Offset — and then announces she’s pregnant: ‘With every ending comes a new beginning’

Cardi B has filed for divorce from Offset once again.

Cardi’s rep confirmed to Page Six Thursday that she filed paperwork on Wednesday.

The outlet reported that Cardi, 31, is seeking primary custody of the former couple’s children.

The “WAP” rapper and Offset, 32, share two kids: daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 2. Offset is also father to Jordan, 14, as well as Kalea and Kody, both 9, from previous relationships.

After the divorce news broke, Cardi announced on Instagram that she’s pregnant with her third child.

She posted pictures of herself showing off her baby bump in a red gown on a rooftop.

“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power! Reminded me that I can have it all! You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion!” she wrote.

“I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do! It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!” Cardi added.

A Page Six source claimed that Cardi and Offset have had issues beyond the latest rumors of Offset’s infidelity .

“They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” said the insider. “This is something she wants to do.”

The source also alleged that Offset isn’t surprised about the divorce.

“It’s not something that happened overnight… They’ve both been on the same page,” the source explained. “There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable.”

Offset recently denied that he was cheating on Cardi. There were claims that the Migos rapper was with his ex-girlfriend Pretty Redz at a casino.

“People really need to do the research,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) according to Complex .

“I’m at a public place gambling at a casino with a married eight-month. Pregnant women wtf I look like being outside publicly cheating SMD!!!” he added.

Offset’s tweet sparked the speculation about Cardi’s pregnancy (She confirmed her split from Offset in December).

However, a rep for Offset claimed to TMZ that he was referring to the girl in the photo with him at the casino, and not Cardi.

In December, Cardi called herself “single” in an Instagram Live. She also said she doesn’t “think” Offset cheated on her with fellow rapper Chrisean Rock.

“I don’t know if y’all have been getting clues from me from my Live, I mean… or from my Instagram Stories, where I put certain music. When it comes to events and stuff, I don’t think it’s true, I don’t care to find out because I have been single for a minute now,” Cardi told her fans.

“I have been afraid to… not afraid but I just don’t know how to tell the world. I feel like today has been like a sign,” she continued. “The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you but I didn’t know how to tell you so I changed my mind,” she added.

Cardi also said: “I want to start 2024 fresh, open. I’m curious for a new life, a new beginning. I’m excited.”

A week before the Instagram Live, Cardi and Offset appeared to unfollow each other on Instagram.

The pair tied the knot in September 2017.

Cardi and Offset’s relationship has had its ups and downs. They briefly split in 2018 after the birth of Kulture amid separate cheating rumors surrounding Offset at the time.

Offset later issued a public apology and they reconciled in early 2019. Cardi went on to file for divorce in 2020 , but called off the proceedings months later.
