Skinner’s response to the entire feud was to block the most decorated gymnast in the U.S. on Instagram — and if anyone didn’t believe it was true, Jordan Chiles captured it on camera for everyone to see. Chiles posted a screenshot of Skinner’s Instagram account that shows no posts on the feed. When a user blocks someone, it makes it look like there are no images on the page — it will say “no posts yet.” Chiles added her own commentary, writing, “When she blocks Simone” over the snapshot. Skinner’s original comments, from a now-deleted YouTube video, criticized the athletes who were competing at the Olympic Trials. “Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be. Just notice like, I mean, obviously a lot of girls don’t work as hard. The girls just don’t have the work ethic,” she said. Biles protected her fellow teammates with a response on Threads, clapping back, “not everyone needs a mic and a platform.” The 27-year-old superstar must have been sitting on her snarky caption after Team USA’s gold-medal win on Tuesday, July 30 because she wrote, “lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions ❤️🥇🇺🇸,” with a celebratory snapshot.
