Rachel Leviss Faces Backlash After Jax Taylor Comments: ‘You Made This About You’

Vanderpump Rules alum Rachel Leviss checked into a mental health facility in the wake of Scandoval. She spent two months in the facility, receiving therapy for trauma and mental health treatment. Recently, Pump Rules alum Jax Taylor entered rehab to deal with his mental health. When Rachel weighed in on Jax’s decision and wished him well, some social media users didn’t appreciate her comments.

Rachel Leviss is slammed for making Jax Taylor’s situation about her

Jax, who stars in The Valley with his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright , has checked into a facility for in-patient treatment . Jax’s rep stated, “Jax has always been candid about his mental health struggles, especially during the past few months on his podcast. He has decided to seek in-patient treatment. This is a particularly sensitive time for him and his family,” his rep added.

So, Rachel decided to wish Jax well via Instagram . “I am deeply saddened to hear of Jax’s mental health struggles and I wholeheartedly support his decision to seek treatment. I pray that his news is met with the open-mindedness that mine lacked, as I faced mockery and accusations of simply being in a spa,” Rachel wrote via her notes app. She continued, “I hope he finds the healing that I did through my own journey.” The VPR alum noted “the urgent need for mental healthcare and accessible treatment for reality tv stars.” She added, “Wishing you a speedy recovery.”

Unfortunately for Rachel, her remarks didn’t land. Comments about her post accused her of trying to grab attention. “Did…..did you manage to make this about you?” one user commented. Another posted, “Wow you outdid yourself with this one. Way to make it about you.”

A third user said, “This seems like a backhanded support message. Shoulda just kept this in the notes.” Then another follower wrote, “Maybe some more treatment is needed if you felt the need to run to Instagram and make someone else’s situation about yourself.”

But there were a few followers who defended Rachel. “Why do you all go so hard on her. She is not making it about her. This girl spent a lot of time working on herself and why the comments to bring her down. Does it make you all feel better about yourself? How about be kind,” one user wrote. Another said, “Am I missing something or are all yall a bunch of C U Next Tuesdays. She’s relating because she has gone through something similar and yeah it’s her Instagram of course it’s about her.”

It seems like maybe Rachel could have just wished Jax well and escaped all this criticism.
