The Olympics couldn't get themselves into any more trouble, right? After its opening ceremony on Friday night, which mocked Christians with their reenactment of the Last Supper that involved drag queens setting the internet on fire, just did it again on Thursday, but this time they made a female boxer quit 46 seconds into her fight because she was facing a person tested with XY Chromosomes pretending to be a woman and took two significant blows that could've killed her.
Italian boxer Angela Carini has been training her entire life to reach the Olympic Games. When she got into the ring on Thursday, she was staring down Algerian fighter Imane Khelif, who was disqualified from the 2023 world championships after failing gender eligibility tests because elevated levels of testosterone were unable to meet the eligibility criteria for women's competition.
The Olympics failed big time once again, letting Angela Carini get inside a ring where there would be punches thrown by a person who failed testosterone tests, meaning their testosterone was way too strong to be able to compete in women's competition is a total joke. Carini could've been seriously injured or even killed because of the sick actions of the Olympics.
Many media outlets will pretend this story never existed because it doesn't fit their narrative, but this has gone on too long. When a woman's life is put in danger, it's time to speak up because this is not how women's sports are supposed to be.
Women's sports are supposed to be celebrated, and anytime something like this happens, it takes away all the great moments we have seen in women's sports over the past few years.
Angela Carini should've never had to quit the fight because she should've never been put into the situation in the first place. The Olympics let Carini down, and whoever else will have to face Imane Khelif.
Thankfully, Carini didn't seem to get seriously injured, but all the hard work she had put in over the last 25 years went down the toilet because of a situation she should have never been put into in the first place.
