Simone Biles has revealed that her former teammate, MyKayla Skinner, has removed her from her Instagram followers after Biles trolled her perceived disrespect regarding Team U.S.A .

The history-making gymnast took to X on Wednesday (July 31), to share that Skinner had blocked her on Instagram. “Oop I’ve been blocked,” she wrote.

In a post by fellow teammate Jordan Chiles, a photo showed a reflection of her and Biles holding a phone displaying Skinner’s Instagram profile reading, “no posts yet.” This indicates that the visiting account has been blocked.

The rift between the 27-year-old and the 2024 U.S.A. women’s gymnast team began back in June when Skinner made comments in a now-deleted YouTube video.

At the time, she said that she felt the gymnasts selected for the this year’s team “don’t have the work ethic.”

She added, “Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn’t like what it used to be.”

Last month, Skinner posted a video on her Instagram Stories apologizing for her “misinterpreted” remarks.

“Just clearing up what had been said on my current video!” she captioned the video.

“Hey, guys, just wanted to pop on here really quick, because I know we did the recap on YouTube, and I feel like a lot of you guys had misinterpreted or misunderstood exactly what I was meaning or had said,” she began. “Sorry for anything that got out of context or seemed hurtful. That is never my intentions.”

However, Biles chose to throw Skinner’s initial words back in her face once Team U.S.A. won the gold and she became the most decorated gymnast in Olympic history.

Following their big win , Biles posted a photo of the team celebrating on Instagram, with the caption, “Lack of talent, lazy, olympic champions” — which was clearly a shot at Skinner.

Skinner didn’t respond to Biles’ post, but did show love to the 2024 team with several heart emojis on her Instagram Stories.
