Love Island USA star Rob Rausch was both a villain and a fan favorite this season. He summarized viewers feelings about him perfectly on the Call Her Daddy podcast, telling host Alex Cooper, “I’m a toxic gaslighter but I’m hot enough that it doesn’t matter.” Real.
Fans were fascinated to hear Rob’s thoughts on the season now that he’s out of the villa. He spilled all the tea on the Wednesday, July 24 episode of CHD. He touched on everything from his whirlwind romance with Leah Kateb to where he currently stands with ex-Islander Andrea Carmona .

Rob Rausch said someone on Love Island USA had bad breath
On the podcast, Rob revealed that one of his Love Island co-stars had bad breath. While he wouldn’t reveal which cast member wasn’t up to par with his dental hygiene standards, he did say the person wasn’t in the Villa. The confession led viewers to assume he was referring to one of the Casa Amor girls. Rob spoke to Destiny Herzog and Daniela Ortiz-Rivera the most during the getaway. Fans suspected he was referring to Destiny since their connection seemed to die out halfway through the trip. However, that is unconfirmed.
Fans were obsessed with Rob and Leah’s on-and-off again relationship this summer. His head may have been turned by Bombshell Andrea but fans never gave up hope that him and Leah would rekindle their romance. Love Island TikTok is filled with edits of the two’s brief and toxic coupling.
He spoke about his first impression of Leah on CHD, sharing that he was quite fond of her.
“I really liked her a lot,” he said. “I can be hard to read, I think it’s hard for people to understand me, especially my humor. She got it right away.”
The Peacock star said they kept locking eyes on the first day in the Villa and he hoped they would couple up on night one.
He also touched on his “break up” with her, telling fans his feelings for her didn’t go away while he was coupled up with Andrea.
“There was never a point where I stopped liking Leah,” he said. “I told myself that I was going to get to know every girl.”
He explained that he wanted to explore every connection even if he already had feelings for someone else.
Leah confirmed that she and Rob were always open on her episode of CHD. She told Alex that he spoke to a few other OGs during their first coupling but it wasn’t a match.
Rob and Andrea shared an emotional goodbye when her time was cut short in the Villa. He even wrestled with the idea of leaving with her before ultimately deciding to stay. On CHD, Alex asked him if he would be interested in rekindling his romance with her in the real world. Many fans suspected the two would date after filming given how smitten Rob was with her during the season. However, he seemed to have changed his mind about the Bombshell after exiting the Villa.
“It’s probably better if we just kind of like keep our distance for now,” he said. “A lot has happened. She’s been like posting a lot. I was kind of like, ‘Woah. That’s a lot of things to post.'”
Andrea has been very active on TikTok since leaving the Villa. She’s shared her thoughts about Rob, Leah, and the season in several videos.
Aaron Evans caught a lot of heat for kissing another woman in Casa Amor. Fans felt he was disrespectful to his OG match Kaylor Martin . Rob spoke about his Villa best friend’s blunder on CHD, reassuring fans that Aaron’s feelings for Kaylor are genuine.
“He loves Kaylor, he really does,” he said. “He cares about her so much. It was killing him even in Casa.”
The edit made Aaron look unbothered about hurting Kaylor but Aaron said that was far from the truth.
