Swimming legend Katie Ledecky knows how to dominate and win, both in the pool and off it. In fact, a quick look at her history will prove as much.

Before Ledecky returned to the Olympics this 2024 and added more to her medal collection, she spent several years at Stanford not only competing in swimming but also making a name for herself as a top student.

Katie Ledecky's college GPA was really impressive, with her last reported grade point average being 3.99. It was revealed back in her sophomore year in 2017-18, when she was named the Google Cloud Division I Academic All-America Team Member.

The said award was given to the top student-athletes in the nation, both men and women, across all sports. The recognition speaks volumes about how excellent Ledecky was in the classroom—and she did all that while balancing her studies with her professional career.

Ledecky completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and minor in Political Science in 2020, per Insider . She graduated in 2021.

While Ledecky is four years removed from her Stanford days, she continues to be a source of pride for the university with her exploits in swimming.

In the women's 1,500-meter freestyle at the Paris Olympics, Katie Ledecky won the gold medal. It is now her eighth gold in the quadrennial event, making her the first female swimmer to win gold in four Olympic events (2012, 2016, 2020, 2024).

Ledecky also tied Jenny Thompson for the most Olympic gold medals by a U.S. woman.

Ledecky's 2024 Olympic run is far from over as she still has a number of events to compete in, such as the women's 4x200 freestyle relay and 800-meter freestyle. Sure enough, plenty of eyes will be on her as she attempts to bring home more gold.
