Terry Crews couldn’t believe it when he saw Hulk Hogan at the Republican National Committee convention.

Last month, Hulk Hogan made a surprising appearance at the RNC convention. He entered the stage with an American flag, loudly voicing his support for Donald Trump.

He hit all the “Hulk Hogan promo” bullet points. Hulk Hogan ripped off his shirt, referenced his match with Andre The Giant, and told the world that “Trumpamania was running wild!”.

It was surreal, and nobody could quite believe what they were seeing. That extended to Terry Crews, the football player turned actor who appeared in the 2006 movie Idiocracy . He starred as the President of America in the movie, in what appeared to be a parody of Hulk Hogan’s own nationalistic wrestling character.

Terry Crews spoke with AP News Entertainment in a clip on TikTok. The actor was shocked at how close Hulk Hogan was to his character, down to the ripped shirt and moustache.

He added that he had calls from Time Magazine, comparing him to Donald Trump during the 2016 election. Terry Crews originally laughed it off, and now admits that they have gone that far.

“First of all, it was down to the moustache, the head wrap, the ripped off shirt.” Terry Crews explained. “I was going ‘What in the world!’. You don’t understand! I was going ‘that’s what I did! But this is real life!’.

“Years ago and this stuff was starting and it was Trump/Hillary, I was getting calls from Time Magazine. They were like ‘Hey, we see a lot of resemblances to what’s going in’. I was like ‘They’ll never get that far’. We officially have gone that far.”

“That’s what I did!” Terry Crews says he was stunned when watching Hulk Hogan on stage at the Republican National Convention. Crews starred in Mike Judge’s 2006 comedy “Idiocracy” as the pro wrestler-turned-politician President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho. #terrycrews #hulkhogan #idiocracy #comiccon #rnc
