ESPN/Fox/Warner Bros. sports streaming service to cost $43 a month

( NewsNation ) — Venu Sports, a new live sports streaming service from ESPN, Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery, will be available for $42.99 per month.

The streaming service, which will also allow for a seven-day free trial, will provide access to 14 live sports channels and a library of content from the companies’ sports networks and ESPN+, the company said in a news release .

Venu plans to launch in the U.S. in the fall and will offer events from major professional sports leagues and college conferences. It will give fans access to sports networks including ESPN, ABC, Fox Sports, TNT and others.

Venu Sports CEO Pete Distad said in the announcement that the company wants to provide fans with a single destination for watching sought-after sporting events.

“We’re building Venu from the ground up for fans who want seamless access to watch the sports they love, and we will launch at a compelling price point that will appeal to the cord cutter and cord never fans currently not served by existing pay TV packages,” Distad said.

While the service is cheaper than paying for cable television, the bundle doesn’t include NBC or CBS, which leaves out a lot of NFL games as well as college sports. Watching the NFL can cost upward of $1,600 for the season, and other sports are getting more expensive as well.
