    Wisconsin employers cut 44 jobs in July. It's the lowest monthly job loss this year.

    Wisconsin companies cut a total of 44 jobs in July, the lowest monthly number so far this year.

    Three companies filed WARN notices with the state and in June unemployment rate has held steady at 2.9%, according to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Companies cut a total of 429 jobs in June .

    The state's workforce participation rate is 65.5% with 3,048,600 people working in the state, an increase of about 6,700 from a year ago.

    In a quarterly survey conducted by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce of 63 area businesses representing 13,000 employees published July 26, found 52% of companies expect a third quarter profit increase compared to a year ago. And businesses expect on average a 3.1% increase in wages for employees.

    When asked to rank the top concerns going into the third quarter, the top concern was continuing growth and economic recovery, and price inflation. The lowest concerns were crime and labor shortage.

    Here's the list of companies that laid workers off in July:

    Bradshaw Medical Inc. (Intech medical)

    Bradshaw Medical Inc, also known as Intech Medical, is laying off 37 workers at its facility in Kenosha starting Sept. 26. The company manufactures "instruments and silicone overmolded handles" according the the company website.

    Cygnus Home Service, LLC

    Based in Minnesota, Cygnus Home Service, LLC, or Yelloh! , a frozen food delivery service, laid off one worker in Fennimore and one worker in Prairie du Sac. The layoffs will go into effect on Sept. 14. In May the company laid off 32 workers.

    Equiniti Trust Company

    Milwaukee-based Equiniti Trust Company is laying off five workers in their customer care center across multiple U.S. work locations starting Sept. 30.
