Eric Miller (@ thecoinchannel ) is a TikToker who typically focuses on rare coins.

But recently he shared a bill that could be worth big bucks.

Thanks to a “double denomination” error, it could sell for up to $55,200.

He also showed one in “worse condition,” which sold for $32,900.

    THE ERROR

Miller showed off two bills that have different numbers on each side.

The $55,200 and $32,900 bills were each marked as $20 bills on one side.

But when flipped over, the design for a $10 bill was on the other side.

This is an uncommon printing error that exists on older bills.

Miller said they were getting “harder and harder to find.”

He also called the errors “huge mistakes.”

The bills vary in price because of differences in their quality.

After being graded by professionals, they can sell for a lot of money to collectors.

What is a die break or error on a coin?

What causes such defects on coins and why are they so rare to find?

A die break, also known as a cud, is an error on a coin that is formed when a die, (a metallic piece that is used to strike a coin) is missing a piece near the rim.

When dies strike coins, they have a heavy impact and pressure and the metal from the blank part of the coin, known as the planchet, overlaps the area left by the missing piece of the die.

Coins with such deformities are rare thanks to the strict quality control measures at the US Mint.

When such errors do occur, they are often caught and destroyed.

However, those that slip through the net become huge collector’s items worth much more than their face value.

    MORE MONEY

Miller has shared many other rare bills and coins.

One bill is valuable thanks to an unusual serial number.

It’s called an “ascending ladder,” and it adds thousands in value to the bill.

One such $20 bill could go for over $7,000.

One exact detail on a Lincoln penny could make it worth $10,000 .

Miller showed off another penny detail that could earn you $29,000 .

Another penny is valuable due to a “sharp” detail .
