The custody battle over Harrison Abbott is heating up on The Young and the Restless.

Kyle Abbott and Summer Newman have tried to keep things friendly for the sake of their son. But recently tensions have risen between the exes.

Kyle's new job requires him to travel to Paris, and he decided to take Harrison with him. Summer was against the idea and decided to sue for custody. It's going to be a down and dirty war, especially with Phyllis Summers in the mix.

Phyllis Schemes To Help Summer Win Custody

Thanks to Phyllis, poor little Harrison will be caught in a nasty custody battle between his parents. Although Summer isn't Harrison's biological mother, she loves him like he's her own child.

It'll break Summer's heart if Harrison is taken away from her. So that's why her mother Phyllis will do anything to keep the two together.

Although Phyllis has been on her best behavior, she'll resort to her scheming ways to help Summer. This will be a down and dirty custody battle. Kyle will throw anything at Summer to make her drop the case.

But Phyllis has an ace up her sleeve.

According to The Young and the Restless rumors, Harrison's biological mother Tara Locke could be returning. When Tara was last seen she was carted off to jail after being framed for fraud by Phyllis.

Now Phyllis will call on Tara for a favor.

Summer may not stand a chance in the case because she doesn't have any legal rights to Harrison. But Tara could help with that if she relinquishes her parental rights allowing Summer to adopt Harrison.

Tara will reject the idea, but Phyllis offers a deal. She'll help Tara get out of prison if she assists Summer. It's an opportunity too good to pass up.

Tara Double-Crosses Phyllis, Summer Risks Losing Harrison

Phyllis' decision to have Tara released from prison won't make many people, including Summer happy. However, Phyllis will assure her daughter everything will work out in their favor.

But their plan backfires when Tara double-crosses the redhead.

Tara hasn't forgotten that Phyllis was the one who sent her to prison in the first place. All those years sitting in that cell, Tara was probably thinking of revenge on the redhead. Now, she finally gets payback on Phyllis, Summer, and Kyle.

Tara will go back on her promise of relinquishing her parental rights. Instead, she'll file her own custody suit, and paint Kyle and Summer in a bad light. She'll also bring up Phyllis' past, which won't help Summer's case.

The Young and the Restless spoilers hint the dramatic custody battle will end in heartache. This might be one instance where Summer wishes she hadn't listened to her mom.
