The trade deadline has come and gone. Moves were made and every team's roster is essentially set for the rest of the 2024 season.

Now, it's time for the stretch run, where we will get a better look at pennant races and who will compete for a World Series crown.

There weren't a lot of big names on the move this year at the deadline, but that doesn't mean there wasn't anything to be excited about.

According to Major League Baseball Communications on Twitter, Tuesday's deadline was the most trafficked day of the MLB season based on visits to MLB.com and the MLB App. A game between the Philadelphia Phillies and New York Yankees was also the fourth most-watched game on MLB.TV of all time.

"An active MLB trade deadline and a 15-game slate drove strong fan interest and engagement yesterday," MLB Communications tweeted on Wednesday.

It certainly was a busy day in baseball on Tuesday. But front office executives making trades wasn't the only reason for that.

Fans from all walks of life were interested in what was going on at the trade deadline. There were also plenty of fans watching the marquee matchup between the Phillies and Yankees.

It would seem that baseball is quickly regaining its popularity, which is big for the game after the lockout of 2022 and shortened 2020 season. Trade deadlines are certainly engaging, but fans are starting to enjoy baseball again.
