Simone Biles Goes Viral as She Secures Major Olympic Record Amid Stiff Competition: 'She Did It'

Simone Biles just won another gold medal and will again leave the Olympics as a champion gymnast.

The 27-year-old went into the women's individual all-around final knowing it would be a tough competition as she faced off against fellow gold medalist Suni Lee –marking the first time two gold medal gymnasts competed against one another, per NBC . Lee secured third place, taking home the bronze.

Biles came to the 2024 games with seven Olympic medals –including four golds, 30 World championship medals, 23 of which are gold medals–and Thursday's win is her ninth Olympic gold medal overall. It also officially breaks the record she set at the 2024 Paris games earlier this week, passing Shannon Miller as the most decorated gymnast in women's gymnastics. She's also the first Woman to win two Olympic All-Around Titles since Vera Caslavska in 1964 and 1968. With her lineup of career gold medals, Biles has achieved another record as an American gymnast.

Her big achievement is not only something for the record books but also something worth commemorating, and fans are already kicking off the celebrations online.

"SHE'S DONE IT!" Team USA exclaimed via X (formerly Twitter).

"SHE DID IT!!! OLYMPIC ALL AROUND GOLD," another cheered alongside a clip of Biles's victory dance the floor.
