Biles cemented her legacy as the world’s most decorated gymnast, earning her sixth career gold medal and ninth overall medal.

She narrowly defeated Brazil ‘s Rebeca Andrade, who finished silver.

NBC commentator Laurie Hernandez, a former USA gymnast who competed with Biles in the 2016 Rio Olympics, didn’t say too much after her victory.

That was because Hernandez was in tears after watching her former teammate Biles claim the gold.

“Nobody look at me,” the 24-year-old Hernandez said with her voice crackling after Biles was confirmed the winner.

Hernandez also could be heard sniffling on the broadcast.

Fans, meanwhile, noticed Hernandez feeling affected by Biles’ win.

“Laurie being an absolute mess rn after watching Simone’s floor represents all of us,” one commented.

“Laurie Hernandez is sniffling on the broadcast so I’m in good company,” another wrote.

“Laurie Hernandez being too overcome with emotion to give any feedback after Simone’s routine,” a third added.

USA’s Suni Lee took home the bronze.

Biles became the third woman in history to win multiple golds in the all-around.

She is also the first woman to win all-around titles eight years apart.

Biles first won the event in the 2016 Rio Olympics when she was a teammate of Hernandez.

The duo helped win team gold for the USA in those particular games and a silver on the balance team.

Biles hasn’t lost an all-around competition in more than a decade.

Thursday’s victory gave her the second Olympic gold of these games.

The U.S. women’s team won gold in the team final on Tuesday.

Biles has the chance of accumulating more golds in the coming days.

She will compete in the apparatus finals for balance beam, floor exercise, and vault.
