The sea, with its ever-changing nature, clouds, sky, wind, and weather, feels alive. Coupling this dynamic setting with the political turmoil of 1943, the resilience of humanity is what Boat is all about.”

Furthermore, he explained, “A friend’s great-grandfather was among the approximately 500,000 people who evacuated Madras when it was bombed by the Japanese. He recounted how some people fled by sea, taking to boats to escape the chaos.”
