Simone Biles' New Nickname From Kevin Durant Says It All

Both gymnast Simone Biles and Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant are competing for gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics. After Thursday's epic all-around individual performance, Biles has secured her second gold medal of the event.

Biles had top scores in each rotation of the all-around competition, including the vault (15.766), the uneven bars (13.733), the balance beam (14.566), and the floor exercise (15.066). Her final total was 59.131.

Durant, who is coming off of a win against South Sudan on Wednesday, was impressed with Biles' latest performance and gave her a brand new nickname: "Goat Biles."

"I really believe Goat Biles can catch a lob and finish."

Biles' teammate, Suni Lee, added another medal for Team USA, coming in third place with a score of 56.465.

At the all-around team final, Biles, Lee, Jade Carey, and Jordan Chiles secured a total team score of 171.296. Biles led the way with a 58.332 score, which was nearly one point lower than her individual score on Thursday.

Durant, like Biles, is a multi-Olympic gold medalist winner. The former NBA MVP won gold in 2012 (London), 2016 (Rio de Janeiro), and 2020 (Tokyo). He also won two NBA championships during his time with Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors. Durant is joined by Curry and his current Suns teammate Devin Booker on Team USA.
