Love Island USA Couple Leah Kateb and Miguel Harichi ‘On the Way’ To Becoming Official

Love Island USA Season 6 might be over, but we’ll always have an unforgettable summer with a messy crew of Islanders to remember. The latest season of Love Island created plenty of reality stars in the midst, but arguably, no one is bigger than Leah Kateb . Well maybe host Ariana Madix , but she doesn’t count.

Leah is the people’s princess. Fans have been rooting for the down-to-earth contestant since the first day of Season 6. We watched Leah’s rocky relationship with Rob Rausch that ended in a friendship. Ultimately, Leah placed second alongside her boo Miguel Harichi . Now that filming has ended and they’ve left Fiji, Leah has given an update on her relationship status with Miguel.

Real love incoming

Leah spoke to People about the current status of her relationship with Miguel, whom she called the “best person [she’s] ever met in [her] life”. While they aren’t official yet, Leah made it sound like it’s just a matter of time before they take things to the next level. “I think it’s on the way,” Leah said about their relationship becoming official. “I wouldn’t be worried about us. We’re really locked in.” I don’t think the people are worried – it’s how Leah and Miguel landed the runner-up spot on Season 6.

Despite being the obvious fan favorite of the season, Leah admitted that she would’ve left Love Island USA after all of the drama with Rob had Miguel not arrived. “I was miserable, I was absolutely miserable. And then everything changed and I’m just so lucky,” she said. “I don’t know what I would have done if he wasn’t there.”

The Love Island USA reunion airs on August 19 on Peacock.
