Cardi B Announces Third Pregnancy Amid Divorce Filing

On Thursday, Cardi B revealed she's expecting her third child through a series of images posted on social media. The 31-year-old artist, dressed in a flowing red gown that highlighted her baby bump, shared the joyous news shortly after submitting divorce papers from her estranged husband, Offset, a rapper with Migos.

A representative for Cardi B confirmed to the Associated Press that a single event did not trigger the divorce filing but was a decision reached after much consideration. The representative described the process as "amicable." Cardi B initiated the divorce proceedings on Wednesday, as reported by Entertainment Tonight.

In her social media post, Cardi B, whose full name is Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, expressed gratitude towards her unborn child for providing support during a challenging period. She wrote, “It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns, and tests lying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth pushing through!”

She further noted, “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life, and most of all renewed my power,” in the caption of her post. Cardi B and Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, were married in 2017 and have two children together. Offset also has three children from previous relationships.

Cardi B had hinted at her single status during an Instagram live session in December, indicating that her relationship with Offset had been strained for some time. The couple’s relationship has faced various ups and downs, with Cardi B filing for divorce twice before.

Speculation about their relationship troubles arose late last year when both artists unfollowed each other on Instagram, as noted by Entertainment Tonight.
