Breanna Stewart’s and A’ja Wilson’s dominant Olympics performance inspired so many wildly creative memes

Breanna Stewart and A’ja Wilson are carrying Team USA on their backs right now.

Listen, there’s been so much chatter about the women’s Team USA roster, including whether people deserve to be there, whether Caitlin Clark should be on it, why Arike Ogunbowale isn’t playing and so on. I’d be hard-pressed to think that the team hasn’t heard the chatter, but they sure are playing like it doesn’t even matter.

A lot of that has to do with Stewie and A’ja. Stewie has become a flat-out menace on both ends of the floor, and A’ja is doing A’ja things (you know, leading the Olympics in multiple double-doubles). On Thursday, Belgium was no match for their combined 49 points, 20 rebounds, and seven-plus steals and blocks en route to a sound Team USA win.
