USA gymnast Simone Biles and Brazil gymnast Rebeca Andrade finished with the top two scores in the women's all-around individual final at the 2024 Paris Olympics, securing them a gold and silver medal, respectively.

Biles finished the event with a final score of 59.131, while Andrade finished with a 57.932. After Biles secured a lead after the vault in the first rotation, Andrade stormed back in the uneven bars, capturing the lead after rotation two. But Biles outscored Andrade in the final two rotations (balance beam and floor), securing her the gold.

After the event, Biles commented on Andrade, which didn't sit well with some fans. The quote is going viral online with over 150,000 views.

"I don't want to compete with Rebeca no more," Biles remarked. "I'm tired. She's way too close... I'm gonna hand it to her now. She can have the rest."

Biles' comments were intended to be complimentary towards Andrade, but many people didn't take it that way.

Fans took to social media to leave their thoughts on Biles' remarks about Andrade after the all-around final.

Thursday's all-around final marked the first time Biles and Andrade went head-to-head in an individual final at the Olympics. They would have faced each other in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics had Biles not withdrawn due to the twisties.

Biles now has six Olympic gold medals throughout her career and nine medals total, with five coming in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Andrade secured her fourth Olympic medal overall, including one gold, two silver, and one bronze.
